I've gotten hung up on a trivia question.
Who is the singer of the 50's(40's?) who made a hit recording of that
Old Black Magic?

: 1942. Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen (Music). : Appeared in three
films: Star Spangled Rhythm/Senior Prom-Louie Prima and Keely Smith/
Meet Danny Wilson-Frank Sinatra-Shelly Winters/
: For Educational and Research use.
: That old black magic has me in it's spell.- : That old black
Magic that you weave so well. : Those icy fingers up and down my spine.
: The same old witch craft when your eyes meet mine. : The same old
tingle that I feel inside : and then the elevator starts its ride : and
down and down I go : round and round I go : like a leaf : that's caught
in a tide : I should stay away but what can I do : I hear your name :
and I'm a flame : A flame with such burning desire
: the only kiss can put out your fire : for you're the lover I
have waited for : the mate that fate had me created for : and every time
your lips meet mine : darling down and down I go : round and round I go
: in a spin : loving the spin I'm in : Under that old black magic called
love!
believe it's: aflame with such a burning desire that only your
lips can put out the fire

THE LAST LINE COULD BE CHANGED TO REFLECT THE PAST FEELINGS THAT
EITHER ONE HAD I.E. That I was a flame: of such a burning desire:
That only your lips could put out my fire.
BUT THEN AGAIN THAT'S JUST A COMMENT.
THANKS......................

: Who was the male singer that first made Mercer's "That Old
Black Magic" famous?
It may be arguable just who made the song "famous" but our
records show that Johnny Johnston introduced it in the movie "Star
Spangled Rhythm" in 1942. Billy Daniels later made a hit record of
it and of course Sinatra recorded it on several occasions.

Yeah, and Glenn Miller's new lead singer Skip Nelson made it a pop
song in broadcast and juke box!
